Geez Louisa May….sleep is so important for training and functioning at work. So is good coffee. I have had neither.
5:00 am WOD w/”Twinkie” - Twinkie is Dayna’s husband, Brandon, who I call Twinkie because of him almost losing a box of twinkies after a WOD. Proof that anything that has no expiration date and would survive a nuclear meltdown is not appropriate pre-wod food. It’s just not food.
3 x 1000 m row
Rest 5 Min between sets
Score: 4:13.1, 4:13.1, 4:17.3
Rest 5 min.
3 x 20 GHD
Rest 90 sec. between sets
Score: 5:31
Not really happy with the row times - much worse than usual for me. I blame the commute for killing my hamstrings. :P
Eating:
Pre-WOD (4:45 am): Advocare Spark energy
Post-WOD (6:20 am): Body Fortress Whey Protein
Breakfast (7:00 am): mushroom, onion, & ham omelette, ½ oz almonds
Lunch (12:30 pm): leftover spaghetti squash, shrimp, marinara, spinach
Snack (5:30 pm): apple & almonds (if you can’t tell, I’m the kind of person who tends to get into a routine for awhile)
Dinner (8:00 pm): broiled tilapia w/roasted broccoli, asparagus, & mushrooms in a blood orange olive oil , glass of Domaine Luquet Saint-Veran Vers les Monts 2009. You’ll learn that I’m a wine girl. To the point of taking classes and teaching them when I have the time.
Got the Blood Orange olive oil at a winery out in Sonoma during my last trip to SF. Love this stuff. It’s made by The Olive Press who has won several awards for their olive oil. If you ever get a chance to try it do so!
